Public pages may contain Google AdSense and Adsterra banners. Administration, account pages, private projects and protected notes do not contain these adverts. We do not pass account details, contact messages, article comments or the contents of developer tools to either provider through our advertising integration.

Adsterra banners are temporarily paused while an unwanted redirect is investigated. Existing preferences are retained, but no Adsterra banner code is loaded during this pause.

With your permission, Adsterra and its advertising partners can use cookies or similar storage and receive your IP address, browser/device information and advertising interactions to select and measure advertisements. This can involve processing outside the UK. Read Adsterra's privacy policy and cookie policy for details.

When Adsterra banners resume, no Adsterra banner code will be requested until you choose Allow Adsterra. Refusing does not restrict access to this website. We store only your Adsterra preference and the time of your choice in this browser for up to six months. Your choice does not apply to Google.

Refusing prevents future Adsterra loads; cookies previously set by third parties may also need to be removed in your browser settings. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals prevent our Adsterra loader from running.

Local tool counters

Successful tool operations increment a counter in our own database. We retain totals by day, tool and approximate country, not individual visitor histories. Tool inputs, passwords, uploaded files, account IDs and raw IP addresses are not stored in these counters or sent to Google. Our local country lookup is described below. The existing website session protects the counting endpoint against forged or excessive requests; no additional analytics cookie is created.

Rapid changes are grouped into one use, and Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals prevent counting. These local counters are separate from Google Analytics and advertising.

Website statistics / Google Analytics

With your permission, Google Analytics counts visits across public pages, including visits that start directly on an article, tool or search page. Administration, account pages, private projects and protected notes are excluded. Our page-view data uses the public page address without query strings or fragments and does not include your account identity, search terms, form answers or tool entries. We do not set an account-based Google Analytics user ID.

Analytics can use cookies to distinguish browsers and sessions. Your allow or decline choice is stored in this browser for up to six months, separately from advertising choices. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control prevent our Analytics loader from running. Declining does not restrict access to the website.

Google

Google's own consent message manages Google advertising choices where it applies. The Analytics choice above is separate. We do not treat consent given to Google as permission for Adsterra. Country detection

We compare your IP address with a country database stored on this server to decide which ad providers to use. This lookup does not contact Google or a geolocation API and does not create a visitor-IP log. The web host may retain its normal security/access logs. Country detection is approximate, particularly when using a VPN or proxy. For mainland China, or when the country cannot be identified, this integration does not load Google advertising or Analytics.
